Another week done and dusted........

This week I had a bit of fun 

putting a few things I learnt on my course into practice.

Just about everything in this week's post

was done on manual setting!
And it went pretty well ....I think.

Except August 24 - that was taken on my phone 

from the comfort of an outdoor bean bag 

at the Hard Luck Cafe on K' Rd.

Daily photo challenge - Week 33 is complete

This week I went for a black and white theme

for no other reason than "just because".

I went on a photography course today 

with Sam Mothersole Photography

sammothersole.co.nz

and learnt some new things ....

which rules to break and when,

which rules to always follow.

And I learnt a bit more about all the buttons on our camera.

One of the many things I did take away from it

was the joy of getting a little more creative with composition.

After our week in paradise,

life has returned to its normal fast paced routine.

We're back into the swing of winter clothes, fires and work......
On the brightside - the days are getting lighter at the start and the end.
Gotta be happy with not leaving home in the dark and getting home in the dark.

What a week!!

Week 31 of 2012 was spent in paradise!

Brian, Sarah and I spent the week in Rarotonga 

with our good friends Callum and Jenny.

It was a well deserved week of sun, fun, relaxing 

and enjoying my awesome little family 

and our awesome friends.
