Daily photo challenge - Week 29 is complete

Another week done...
It was a bit of a snap shot week really.
I found there wasn't much time,
or inspiration,
to put in a lot of creative effort.

Oh well.....there's always next week.
Actually, next week is shaping up to be pretty hectic too,
so probably not...but that's ok.

Daily photo challenge - Week 27 is complete

Another week, another 8 pics.
(Yup - I'm cheating and posting an extra pic for July 5)

It was an action packed week at home and at work
and thankfully work provided me with
a rather unique photo for my blog
(see July 2).

I also took the time to play with white balance and ISO a bit more
- knowledge is a wonderful thing!!!

7.7.12 - Backyard visitor
(my goodness these guys are ugly!)

6.7.12 - Orchid beauty in our backyard
(I love playing with ISO levels!)

5.7.12 - Golden light

This is the Mt Eden Pacific Islanders Presbyterian Church.
It's a building that has fascinated me for awhile now
so I just had to stop and take some pics.
I couldn't decide on which is my favourite....so I'm cheating and posting two.

5.7.12 - Locked

4.7.12 - Horsey ride before bedtime

3.7.12 - Torrential

I'm usually office bound, but today I got to head out and cover some breaking news!
I loved it!
My photos were used on aucklandnow.co.nz
and on the front page of the Central Leader.
Click here to see the article and the video I took.

1.7.12 - Stickers and newspaper post brunch

Daily photo challenge - week 26 is complete

It's been an action packed week
and another great one when it comes to spending time with family.

It was my mum's 60th birthday this week
and my brother and his fiance
came over from Melbourne to help celebrate.

On the camera front I felt a little more confident about playing with settings
when a pic didn't look quiet like I wanted it to.
I've still got a lot to learn, but at least I have a slightly better
understanding of how to achieve what I want.

30.6.12 - "hello, nice to see you"
Catching up with uncle Paul and aunty Becs
xo

29.6.12 - family history

28.6.12 - chocolate fish through the cat door.
